Anybody have issues with Snap-ons MG-31 3/8 impact gun? I had to send it back to S/O a week after I bought it for a reseal. This was back in 08. Okay I have only used it a hand full of times since then as I switched to cordless impacts. But now it blows all kinds of lube out of it I think it still hits hard but can't remember what it felt like new. Is this common with this model? Would S/O honor it and fix it or am I screwed? Thanks y'all.

Front end of this wrench is sealed with oil inside. This is the hammer assembly.
I usually immerse the tool in water just to above the trigger with the air turned
Down to about 40# and see what happens. Some leakage around the trigger bushing
Is normal and maybe a tiny bit from reversing valve.
A seal up front and a couple o rings should take care of any problem shy of a cracked housing. Be sure to dry gently with hair dryer before storage.
Also, after much experimenting I use synthetic ATF about 3/4 to top of cup inside front end.
I think any clean oil will do on a pinch. Bearings and bushings in any tool must be kept
Wet with oil of some kind.
Please note this is just my opinion"...

Although my experience with S O tools is positive, I doubt they can help on this one without
A charge.
If you want to try see what your SO dealer can do on trade in. Often it is very favorable.

If your having issues with it. Just send it in for flat rate repair. Its $125 from snapon. Ive had great luck with it. Sent my mg31 in because i smashed it in a lift. Broke the housing snapped the anvil. They replaced everything. Rebuilt the air motor and gave me a new cover. All for $125. Just sent my air hammer in too. Was just blowing air. Got it back good as new. Workes better then it ever has.

Well the issue is I don't think S/O ever really fixed the problem. But I can't prove it. And as far as buying another air tool from them IDK if I should risk it. I know several other brands that can keep up with S/O and are a little less money. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
