So I just picked up a used snap on mg725 in excellent condition and seems to work great.
One thing tho as I was reading snap on's in for on their website it says the gun has a "anvil stop feature" which basically stops the anvil the second the trigger is released to keep nuts from flying out of your socket.
I went out to put it to the test and when I released the trigger it slowed down before it stopped....
Is it supposed to stop immediately the second u release the trigger or what?
Maybe mine is an older model that doesn't feature that, or something's broken in mine, or maybe there is a way to turn it on or off?

No, but they stop fast, unlike some that are so free they coast to a stop.

Actually now that I think about It after I read about the anvil stop I went out n tested it just zipping it free speed. Maybe once I test it with a socket on some pressure like a lugnut I'll be able to tell better

Well I got to try it out on some lugs today and yes it seems to stop pretty quick. I guess in my head I was expecting it to be the split second or so after u release the trigger. My old IR 231c didn't seem to really spin long either when u let go.....I guess some guns out there spin/coast for a little while when u release?

By the way does anyone know the forward torque specs on the mg725 on the 3 settings?

I have both - the 325 and the 725.
Great impacts. They both get the job done.
