any info would be awesome.
weight
trigger
forward reverse lever location - action
power
size of the gun width length etc
COLOR is not that big of a deal with me but i like to see the limited editions from time to time...
so put on your thinking caps and lets see what happens.
thanks

Lighter, I sold my MG725 before I used it because my dads IR2135 felt so much easier to hold with my arm extended for periods of time.

My snapon guy has blue red and purple on the truck for special colors. They have glitter on them.. very nice guns.

But I would like more power ( who doesn't?) i have the mg725 and 2135timax. My MG hits harder but my 2135 hits faster, so.

I'd like a better trigger feel so i can use it on 10mm bolts. Size isn't much of an issue to me.

What about a cover that doesnt feel like a used condom when using around oil. Maybe design some "grip" into it or texture it somehow.

The weight could be a bit less and both the 725 and the 325 needs to have a little easier power adjustment other than that round knob. I don't have a problem with the trigger and can feather it as needed. The noise don't bother me (loss of hearing due to shooting) and the power is better than anything else I have seen/tried in a 1/2 impact. Durabilty is top notch as far as the impact goes but the finish seems to chip very easy.

When it needs to come off right now, this is my go to impact.

Definitely weight for me. My ir 2135timax is much lighter and compact but only slightly less power than the snappy. I'd rather have a hair weaker gun and save my arms a bit.

I would like it to be a little cheaper .. so that I could afford it :)

How much do they list new? I bought mine used off the Matco truck.

Put the MG1200 power adjustment lever on it. The power adjustment is a pain to turn. Maybe make it work both in forward and reverse, too.

I'd second these two comments previously mentioned....

1) better balance (its nose heavy)

2) ease of power/reverse adjustment

I really prefer the old big knob/detent adjustment on my Blue Point AT555. So much simpler and easier to use.

I think it could use being a bit lighter, I love mine and its power and do recognize that it is a bit lighter than my IM6100. To me the noise doesnt bother me, an impact gun is naturally loud, it only seems right.

You can get a rebuild kit from an IR supplier. I rebuilt a friend's 2135QTi, after 4 years of heavy work in a diesel shop. Worked like new!

Quiet guns are like quiet diesels , just seems wrong to me. My tool truck has a 2003 cummins and it is real loud.

I like my diesels loud and rattling. I like my gun quiet and rattling. Hate the sound of the MG725 coworker has, love my nice quiet 2135s. (QTis)

I don't (and won't) own an MG725 for a number of reasons, price being one; It's more expensive than the IR counterparts, without much benefit for the extra ~50%. They're heavy (nose-heavy especially), loud, the trigger isn't sensitive or easy to feather, the direction control *****, you can't adjust power on-the-fly, they're not ergonomic or well-balanced and they're not really much more powerful than the IRs.

They vibrate far worse than my IRs.

Coworker's had one for about a year, it's been in to Snap-on twice under warranty for loss of power and "trigger delay". It still isn't right, down on power. My 2135s have more power and are much better all-round.

I know lots of guys love them, but they really don't work for me and my needs.

I think Snap-on has a lot of work to do on them to make them as good overall as the IRs. :)

I have tried real hard for the last few years to like the snap on 1/2 impacts. To me they can't hang with the 2135 ti guns. They have more power to start with (but not much) but the 2135 lasts way longer. I have had the last 2 snap on premium guns and I have sold them both for less then half what I paid just to get rid of em. The 725 is nice but like the other people said, nose heavy, not as good trigger, horrible power control knob, and way to much money when the 2135 outperforms it for all day use. I am truly disappointed that a company that builds so many tools that have no equal, can't even compete with IR in the air gun department. I say just do like matco did and slap the snap on name on the 2135. I would pay 100 bucks more for a snap on red 2135 that was a churched up version that was rebranded. If you can't beat em join em! I also don't care about the noise. The more noise I make the busier the service manager thinks I am!

Moose the techs around here do not like ir anymore. Too many issues with crappy air supplies. Mac match corn well and everyone else carries ir and air cat. I will make sure snap on power tools sees all the info from here.

how much for the "tune-up???"

It is going to cost you about $90 for a full rebuild (front and back) including a bit of grease.

If you only need a rear rebuild (motor) You get away much cheaper, around $30. That is vanes, bearings, seals. 2135-TK2

The front end (anvil) cost a bit more, around $60. That is pretty much just the anvil (and small parts associated) 2135-TK1

Add additional if you have structural/cosmetic/control damage. This also does not cover bore wear. Should be minimal, but is possible.

While it may be tempting to skip the anvil, it is probably a good idea to replace since the hammers do wear.

Agree for the most part. I've got a 725 at home, and it's at home because I much prefer my 2135 in day to day use. The 725 is too nose heavy, could be lighter, could be quieter, and the trigger ***** compared to an IR gun.

On the plus side I do like the forward/reverse controls better than the IR style, contrary to most people here I like how difficult it is to change power settings (keeps them from getting bumped), and the anvil stop is something I wish my IR guns had.

While not a bad idea, don't forget that the $100 for a Matco branded gun also buys you a two year warranty vs. IR's one year warranty. Speaking of which, that would be nice to have for how expensive the Snap-On guns are...

The Snap-on impacts do have a two year warranty.
