From a local estate sale listing:
Being sold as two Snap-on boxes.
I have never seen a middle box with the key on the bottom tray.
Also no Logo plate.
Middle box has more depth than the top box.
So is the middle box Snap-on?

It looks more like a Waterloo than a Kenosha, but the stacker works like that. If you're getting it as a toolbox rather than an ornament, I'd go for it, as it's a stable and workable kit. If you're getting it as a shop ornament, then buy it and sell the middle to someone (like me) who is looking for a Waterloo middle box... especially if the price is right.

My general rule on things like this is; if it doesn't show it, it isn't it.

So, unless there is a Snap-on stamping on the back it isn't Snap-on no matter what the seller says. Price it accordingly.

Indeed, I probably will pass on the deal as any other drawer photos show stuff I have no interest in. And since this is an on line thing, no further inspection will happen.

It's so hard to tell from pics but Snap on did have an era of boxes with a similar drawer pull. I think, again, I can't see it too good on my phone.

I'm leaning towards possibly S-O.

Definite no on Waterloo but again, small pic. Fwiw.

Looks like the SnapOn KRA 429 and 429A had the keyed lock at the top drawer.

Here's pic of my 1974 dated 429A which is stamped into the center on the back panel.

Ok, but yours has the key in the top drawer.
You have to push the top drawer in & lock with a key in order for the drawer to stay all the way in correct?
Otherwise it springs out about 1" or so.

The one in the estate listing that I am looking at has the lock in the bottom drawer.

I don’t know how it works on newer models, but on the ‘74, the drawer stays in without being locked.
I don’t think the one in your ad is SnapOn, but if it is, it should be marked on the back panel.
All the #429 SnapOn boxes that I looked at had the key in the top drawer. I’m not an expert on anything SnapOn. Maybe try the SnapOn thread for more opinions.
