Snap on model?

Unable to find a serial # or model # for this toolbox. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Try looking on the back with a flashlight. I believe my Snap Boxes had model and date. Hard to see.

I can find no markings on the back, or any place. I have looked in drawers, under the drawers....nothing

You'll need a bright flashlight held almost parallel to the back of the box. The embossing is very shallow.

Feeling stupid here. Went over this thing with 20v lithium dewalt shop light--nothing seen. Could it be someplace else or a knock off product? Although has snap on key...confused as hell.

I think you have either a different brand box, or different series than the KRA-58B for this reason...lock mech. If you search ebay, and only look at the listing that show a positive stamping for 58B....locking mech is only where the key latch swivels down into a slot in the frame. Yours, and the one I have here ive been trying to identify for a while now, has sliding bars that pin into the left and right side of frame. Plus no stamping, just like mine. I'll try and get pics later. Maybe different year? Not sure

Great observation on the locking mechanism, I looked at drawer configuration only. Could be a later 58. Snap on made the 58 for a long time, there is a 58J in the 1991 catalog 100 and the later 58's had that swivel pin locking mechanism. I had several KRA59's with that lock design.
To get into a more in depth ID the OP needs dimemsions of box and drawers. Do the slides have any markings?
Does the front lid have holes drilled where an old emblem was attached?

It is not a KRA58B, the divider configuration in the top of the box is different than the 58B and 58J. The OP's has 2 dividers running front to back, the KRA58B and KRA58J only have one divider running front to back

I think I owned one similar a number of years ago. I believe it was a Canadian Snap On box.

Not a Snap on Expert, but it looks very similar to my '78 KRA-53b in two key areas, the shape of the pulls, and those two columns in the top front edges. The lock mechanism change is a good catch above. Didn't notice that at first. So maybe a year or three difference maybe, and obviously different drawer arrangement.

Snap-on KRA-53B tool chest, 1978 vintage. Belonged to a former United Airlines mechanic. Some junk in the bottom drawer. The tray in the top is not the correct one per the catalog, but is fine with me.

I think this is not Snap On box: look at the drawer puller edge. This might be MGB or other manufacturer
Please compare it to the drawer of Snap On box 9355

Im not convinced it's snappy either. Aside from the lock mech, look at the picture of the back bottom. All the snappy's i have, the bottom panel flange comes up to overlap the back panel closer to 5/8" apprx. This one is only 1/4 to 3/8;it looks like to me. Just not quite as heavy looking as snap on. I'll try n attach my 2 examples.
