Snap on "New Tools" on website

Don't know how many of you are a fan of these (I love the 2 that I have and would buy more in a heart beat) but under the new tools tab on their website Snap on has the part numbers for the magnetic socket holders. These would be the same thing you would get with a new socket set.

Seeing how every metric and std. socket set and bit set sold out there by every tool company only comes in 7 pieces, I can see how this will be a big seller. Wait---what? LOL

I noticed that holder yesterday, LOL'd at it, and clicked the link closed. It's like selling Air Jordan's, but only in a Size 10 shoe size. If it fits, hooray. If not, please move along.

Ahhhhh...

The link to New Porducts on the S-O website yesterday just showed the one tray that holds 7 sockets. No others were shown or listed.

Expand the number of sockets held and I see a viable product.

I like these trays a lot, strong magnet base with a USA COO, and they are mostly under the $10. Hopeful that they release a 1/2'' drive tray selection!

my 1/4 short sockets came in them. theyre nice holders but the footprint is a lot bigger than they look. Mine are stuck to the side of my top drawer.

The new mag trays are a good idea but lack a little. The plastic cover is hard to remove and the holder has no size marks for the sockets. I've perm. markered all mine to show the correct size at a glance when I'm reaching for a socket.

I do agree that they could be slimmed down a bit but they are damn handy if you've got a couple different sizes under a car that you need and you can stick it to the frame rail or the creeper if it's metal. Before I was moved at work a month or so ago I had the standard set there and it was very very handy to stick it to the side of a machine and have them there are your disposal.

my etorx sockets came in one. handy to have on shallow sockets that won't fit hansen trays.
