I have a Snap On 71N and want to get a spare rebuild kit/upgrade kit for it since internals are ~80 years old but the Snap On rebuild kit sheet doesn't account for models that old of course. I've seen people say Snap On has the kit for it or at least an upgrade kit for it but haven't found any actual item numbers. Want to see if any of y'all know about the oldies before I try going through corporate and hoping I get a rep with some old knowledge.

Honestly just call. Their service reps are super helpful from my experience.

So update on the 71N. Was having it shipped to me via USPS and it's gone. Another package tampered with unfortunately but at least it wasn't my GL72T that arrived in half a box a week or two ago that was taken. Had the GL arrive in half a box and this time a box with no 71N. So i don't need a kit for it anymore obviously. At least not till I find a local deal on one. I am starting to get annoyed with USPS though. Shouldn't be this bad for two stops plus two post offices and that's ignoring the 3-10 days past guaranteed delivery dates.

On a more fun note, got told by Sears customer support that Craftsman doesn't make ratchets anymore. Was checking to see about options, whether rebuild or if pushed a Chinese replacement, for an old 1/2 that's been in my shop forever and got that.

Final update on the No. 71, got a NOS(more or less, new internals and body looks untouched, had to degunk it since the grease used in it had solidified but overall looks and feels like new now) No.71-M as a freebie, probably due to the guy not wanting to mess with it and it not being functional with the grease cake that was in it, in a lot of snap on sockets and wrenches I bought. Not the beat up chrome 71-N that was in the family but it's an old bare vanadium one so it looks better imo. Still disappointed about the original but happy I found a replacement. Only thing to figure out now is dating, it has an L at the bottom of the handle but no G or E code or any other date code on it. Probably a left handed ratchet.
