If it is a knock-off, you can take comfort in the fact that they are very common and believed to be the genuine thing.

Back to the OP, it really really looks like an old BP, my co-worker has one and did the same thing with the Snappy logo.

Built like a tank.

You can get a new set of the chrome hinges for $8.70 from Snap On . Includes hinges for both sides, pins and clips.

New small cylinder lock is $3.75 with keys.

Thanks everyone for replying. I did pick it up for a good price considering it had a lot of tools in it. I will be looking in to those new hinges.
