Snap On order time ??

Hey all I dont post much on here but love watching all the builds..

so I'm slowly losing faith in Matco tools and have been favoring Snap on most guys in the shop are following in my footsteps. One guy ordered a KRL1033 in Early Aug something like the 9th ? well he was told 4 weeks then added 2 and added 2 again. well I also spec'd out a 1033 but haven't pulled the trigger due to house hunting.. But i did pull it on a KRSC10F Cart in the same cosmetics.. he couldn't give me a delivery time since his guy couldn't get it in the color options listed on their website called his other guy got it ordered.. week goes by (today) he comes in i asked about the guys box and my cart.. box is now supposed to ship on the 4th (another 2 weeks) and my cart is supposed to be 2 weeks after that!! (4 weeks to build a workstation cart ??) Is snap on really this backed up or are they just dragging their feet ?? or is this standard operations ??

they have huge deals on boxes at the convention, so they are busy right now, Plus its double rebate time

Which color was the KRL1033 box and KRSC10F cart ordered in?

Box was midnight blue with black trim... Cart was flat black with gloss black trim

I wanna make it clear that I am not dissing our tool guy, but wish the folks behind the scenes would step their game up.

They build boxes in batches. Both by type, model, and color. Less re-tooling of production lines equals less dowtime equals more profit.

and i thought living in hawaii was bad, i ordered my cart and box from snap on both took 5-8 weeks but thats because its ground shipped from the east coast then cargo to hawaii.


my service cart i ordered from snap on when i was in tech schol got shipped via UPS cargo and i got that in 3 days! amazing they shipped a whole box air freight

That's the reason right there. They don't spray those colors everyday and subsequently, don't build those boxes everyday. If you guys ordered regular red or regular black, you would've had them already.

well out of nowhere.. the 1033 showed up today ! shipping co. was supposed to call an hr before delivery but oh well.. tech called our tool rep and he was there within 15 min.. now im hoping to have the same luck with my cart
