I picked up a tray with a 1/2" and 3/8" S-K socket sets, It came with two SO spark plug sockets and a S-K Wayne, all without the rubber protectors. I hate tossing tools that merely need a little repair parts. Is it worthwhile talking to SO ? With there being three, it looks like when the rubber died, he bought another socket.

He had a SO 3/8 flex-head breaker bar with the handle broken off, as well.

You could buy the cheap $1 spark plug sockets from your local auto parts store and take the inserts. I have also used rubber hose to replace them in the past.
