I just leave mine "on" and plug in the air line. If it stops, I disconnect the airline then reconnect.

I use it to scrape out sound deadner and seam sealer from car interiors before painting. Sure beats using a putty knife. Another must have tool to use with this is hearing protectors.

They are actually easy and cheap to rebuild. Takes maybe 30 minutes(that's taking your time) and a couple dollars in parts.

Power to the PGS1!

I used mine for exactly that purpose tonight (while sporting my fitted/molded ear plugs)!

Staying on topic, mine occasionally acts intermittent too, and if opening/closing the valve abruptly a couple times doesn't wake it up, then I also disconnect/reconnect it to the air hose with the valve fully on and it takes right off, every time.

I really don't use it all that often (tonight was the first time it wasn't used to remove seam-sealer from a BMW's trunk) but when I do need it, it's the only tool for the job.
