Hi,

Looking to pickup a 24" pipe wrench.

I had looked at Snap on ones, they appear VERY similar to Rigid wrenches.

Is it safe to say Rigid makes Snap on's ?

Hard to say without looking at the specific wrench myself. The quick adjustable kind are Bahco, but Snap-On owns them now.

If I were to re-badge a pipe wrench, it would be a Ridgid. They are the best.

Probably Bahco. Which is owned by Snap On and also manufactures their adjustable wrenches.

EDIT: Damn, couple people beat me too it!

On the SO website they are listed as made in the USA.

They look identical to the rigid ones which I believe are USA made ?

The exact same size rigid wrench is a whe lot cheaper than the SO branded one.

So if it's the same I'll just buy a set of rigids.

The only reason I can fathom to buy a snappy pipe wrench is if you are breaking pipe wrench handles left and right, it may be worth it. Ridgid warranties the screw and jaw housing for life, but not the handles. Too many morons with cheater pipes out there.
