That's because it seems like all you Snappy weirdos insist on keeping your tools in the most inefficient storage solution ever. No wonder half of you need a KRL1033 to keep a basic hand tool set!

just a few things I keep in the trays, pick set being one of them. plus when you open a drawer and see a couple dozen matching handles all nicely laid out in their trays just puts a smile on my face.

I do agree the trays are terribly inefficient in most cases. old boss was more ocd than me and did his whole socket drawer all snappy. the triple bank full width drawer. I have twice the sockets with room to spare from not using trays.

but, still looking for a part # or someones driver has a couple stashed, or guys that don't like them will pull them outta the trash for me

I don't know how Snap On does it but Mac Tools trays all have or used to have part numbers. I would think you could buy some directly from Snap On. Every time I have called them direct when I didn't have a truck there were great to deal with. I would start there.

The thing I don't get is what rubbish those trays are. I just throw them away.

It's an area where the Europeans win hands down on cased sets. They tend to come with some sort of dense foam fitted tray things.

Snap on does not sell the crappy plastic storage trays separately they only sell some the molded plastic cases separately which have separate part#'s

The Snap-on Trays typically have a part number, usually PAKxxxx

But they do not sell them separately and Customer Service is useless.

Euro seems to have well thought of function and form, US on the other hand seems to be function and bling :)

The 4 piece pick tray is PAKTY070 snap on customer service rep may be able to sell one not sure. Sometimes I think it might be cheaper and easier to buy a new set and sell your old ones on ebay some of that stuff goes for more than new.

Snap on typically sells them online or with a phone call

My driver sells the ones from sets he breaks up when he doesn't have a single item someone needs. Other than that snap on does not sell them. He told me to call directly and ask which I did. They said no.

I always have them...Finding the time to go through them this time of year is the hard part.

Just looked; I have 3 of the mini trays. 2 screwdriver, 1 pick. I also have lots of the plastic sleeves for those sets.
What someone stated earlier might be right; buy a new set that comes with the tray and sell your old set. I can't believe it's worth the time or money to pay for and ship the trays, but if you want them, I've got them.

I do really like magnetic socket strips. But I end using them for home sets. At work I need to maximise my tools on hand in my cart.
