I recently purchased a Snap-On toolbox for work, KR 558B with a KR 533A on top. I have added a picture of my prize. IMG_1915.jpg
Ironically, the previous owner was located about an hour and a half from the Snap-On Algona plant, but I don’t think this set was made there. The stamped nameplate did say 72.

But I digress...

If you look closely at the top box, to the left and right, on top edge, there are socket rails screwed to it. On them are mounted several of these.

I have never seen one before, there are no numbers on them, just what you see, the older logo.

I have been searching the internet at images of what I think it is, but haven’t seen anything remotely close.

Any help is appreciated.

Yep, Snap On screwdriver holders.

They were certainly around till the early 90’s, maybe late 80’s.

I can remember my first Snap On rep had a row of them in his truck with the old square ‘tenite’ handled drivers in them.

you picked a nice combo. during the time of it's production run the KR series was King. all these years later it's easy to see why.
