Hey Guys,

Anyone with any experience with Snap-on's generator: http://www.farmandfleet.com/products...p.html#reviews

It must be new as I don't see any reviews anywhere that sells it. I know Snap-on's reputation for quality but this unit is "made under license" blah blah blah. It's made in China, probably a Honda or Briggs clone motor, but I wouldn't think it would be junk if Snap-on allows their name to be on it. It will be used for emergency home use to run sump pump, well pump, etc. Any opinions?

Thanks, Pete

Your link does not work.

But I bet its like the snappy air compressors and flashlights you see sold in various stores. Its just a import with snap on decals on it. I would try to find out the company that makes it and then look into ratings and reviews for their products to see if its reliable or a POS.

IMO snappy whoring out their name cheapens their brand and image. Stupid move.

They are good for their in-house products. Stuff they slap their name on can be bought cheaper or better quality by getting a known name brand in whatever market you are buying in. For air compressors for example, IR, Curtis, etc are known good manufactuers.

For generators, it likely varies what the good brands are, dependin if you want hand portable, or something on a trailer powered by a Detroit Diesel 8V71!
