Snap On Power Cab KRL1099 Question

So I can't tell from looking, but in the Snap On photos it looks as though the side riser panel MAY bolt into place, and that you could reverse the orientation of the side panel and shelve and make it open with tools facing the opposite direction? I see a channel in the right side of the cabinet and it got my hopes up.

Aka, can I unbolt a PowerCab side wall designed to left mount, and rebolt the side wall and the tool mounts in mirror config as a right mount?

There are no shots I can find confirming this so I wanted to hear from an owner before I call Snappy or start ambulance chasing trucks.

I'm not 100% sure, but I can tell you that I have an Epiq series power cab and that drawer is all welded - not way to switch the way it faces. I would expect the KRL series to be the same, or else they'd offer a right side version as a part you could order.

I'm inclined to agree...it just looks from the ad photos that there is a channel in the right of the pullout (under the -on in the photo above) which could slot the panel in, and there are some unexplained bolts in the photo as well.

Pipe dreamy on my part, but hey, saves me buying one!

Seems like it could be a simple tool up for SO to offer a right hand box though...

One of my friends has a KRL1099 and I checked it out. Portions of it are bolted together, but a majority of the "drawer" is welded and cannot be reversed. I'm sure if you're willing to drill spot welds and perform some fairly serious metal fabrication it would be possible, but it certainly isn't a simple swap.

That is probably my single biggest complaint about SO boxes. They offer what they offer and that's it. Sure they have a lot of stuff to choose from, but if I had a Matco dealer, I may have ended up with one of their 6s boxes - seems like they have the most customization options of any brand.
