Snap-On power tools COO ?

Okay... someone/anyone set the record straight. Can you buy a new SO power tool and be 100% sure it is USA made? I am planning on buying a CTS761, 14.4 micro lithium set of some kind, and a few other items, specifically from that 14.4 line. I have a specific, everyday need in my job and the 18/20v lines are just insane overkill for what I need. I'm okay with the premium, but only if it is USA made. I mean if not, why not just go with the Milwaukee 12V line, save myself hundreds and have about 10x the tool options for that battery class? Let's be honest. The quality is pretty damn close.

So, assuming the SO is definitely USA made, can you guys comment on anything and everything from that line. Quality, versatility, and any chance this 14.4 class will be fazed out anytime soon? And.......... anything else you can offer. Thanks to one and all.

I have the CT761HV 14.4V 3/8" impact and love it. I grab it most times except when I feel I need to use my ratchets.

It's made in USA. For 681.95 USD, that would be kind of high priced if it was from China.

Snap on cordless tools are absolutely not worth the price in my opinion. You can get higher quality for less money. Especially that 1/2" impact. They are very weak.

They have a plant in my hometown of Murphy, North Carolina that produces power tools. This plant relocated from Sioux City, Iowa in 2002.

Power tools may be assembled in the US, but the parts are imported from China and Taiwan. The lower or lack of emissions regulations forced most foundries to move across the Pacific.

I don't think anyone can say a bad thing about the CT761. Nothing out there has as much power for it's small size. You can carry it around stuck in your pocket and even take off lug nuts.

Some parts are USA made in the 18v line like control boards. Ironically its the 18v line that I think is the most garbage of what Snap-On offers. The Chinese/Taiwan made 14.4 stuff is quite good save the laughable MSRP.
