I'm in the UK and wanted to change the badges on my toolbox to a pair of the EPIQ style, part no KN983 $20 in the US but $58 in the UK, I really pi$$es me off that everything over here is at least double the price that you guys would pay. this has probably been posted many times before, I just needed to vent!!!!

I feel your pain, Snap-on Sweden is "under" UK, I wish that "we" got our tools from Snap-on Germany instead, I don´t know if it would be any cheaper, but at least they have a bigger range with Snap-on diagnostic tools etc.

The best of all was to be if all the trucks ordered through Snap-on Kenosha of course.

I'm used to the prices and was fairly happy with the range we get, until I joined Garage Journal anyway - now I realise that Snap On uk only carries about 1/4 the lines that the US has. Fortunately my dealer is fairly open minded and will order anything I want so long as I get the part number from the US SO website. That's how I got my PliersRack, no distributor in the UK for them but there is a snap on part number, took about 5 weeks to get here.

I just wish we got the same weekly fliers that the US has - the deals aren't nearly as good in the UK ones and they are clearly written by someone who knows nothing about what they're selling - poor descriptions, incorrect photos and bad spelling seems to be acceptable

I totally agree about the fliers. We seem to get the same stuff on offer all the time. Most of the freebies are pretty rubbish too. I also have a great local dealer. He goes above and beyond getting me everything I want from the states.

I hope that no GJ member takes this the wrong way and I do hope that nobody will take what I am about to say is polictical because I don't mean it that way.

The high prices include the extra tax and every citizen has free health care again I don't mean this in any bad light but the tax not just on tools but everything is high to pay for things like Health care for everyone.

Please if I posted this and it is taken the wrong way then Mods please delete my post.

I don't doubt your point for one moment. Just shipping the stuff will inflate the price, let alone import duty. It's just the world we live in I suppose
