Snap-on prices, US v UK

I need a rebuild kit for my F723A ratchet, I looked up part RKRAF723 on the US Snap-on site and it was a very reasonable $10. Hell, for that money I'd treat all my ratchets to a refit...
Unfortunately, Snap-on UK want $52 for the same item. Plus postage.
Have I got this wrong or are the UK operation pulling my trousers down to the tune of a 500% mark up?

You can expect to pay AT LEAST twice as much for everything in the UK. On top of that, add 18% VAT (Value added tax) on EVERYTHING you buy. Everything!
