snap on prybar warranty

I have a 36" snap on prybar pre hammer cap handle. The handle has 2 splits in it. The first split was in it prior to me buying it 7 years ago and the other split is about 3 weeks old possibly older.

I have never hit it with a hammer although it has been dropped and fell over many times. The recent cold snap may be a contributing factor.


Is this a legitimate claim or cold shoulder? The handle may break in 2 pieces at any time, next time I lean into it.

Just trying to get it replaced before it does break off entirely

Write a letter or chase down a snapon truck .my Cornwell prybar handle did break. I expected a new handle but they sent a whole new prybar.

That is a warranty item. When I was a dealer I would replace the handle but these days some of the dealers replace the tool Either way it should not be a problem

Legitimate claim, I had a 36" pre capped end that was cracked and bent I got off craigslist for 25 bucks, my dealer took it and gave me a brand new equivalent capped end prybar

I broke mine, and I used a hammer many times with visible knicks. They replaced the whole thing no questions asked.

A tech of mine had to chip a piece off the end deliberately to get it warrantied because the handle kept slipping out.

well, in reality you have zero claim as you are not the original purchaser..so no warranty. But in the real world,,,yes, that is something SO will warranty.

You will have 0 problems getting a brand new one handed to you.

Call them. I called to see if the handle was available for an old one like yours (bought mine 33 years ago). Sent a new metal tipped bar. Only question was what length and color.
