Snap On Puller ID?

I picked this up, I can think of a few applications for it but does anyone it's specific purpose? Or if it's a generalized tool. The jaws and screw have SO numbers but does anyone know the number of the puller itself?

looks like a pitman arm puller, what number are on it?

CJ-78 Pitman arm puller.

Because pitman arms sometimes have rounded or tapered edges, the jaw screws lock the jaws around the pitman arm so the puller won't slip off.
