A few months back I made a post about a bunch of older Snap On tools which I had bought at an estate sale. There were some older Bakelite Snap On meters (tach, dwell, etc) and a "Slide Hammer Gear Puller." It's time to sell some of these older tools, and since I have the box for the gear puller, I know that it was part number CL-66A. So how can I tell what ingredients belonged in that box? I want to be sure if its complete.

I have a 1958 Snap On tool catalog, which features gear pullers which look just like this one, but they all have "CG" part numbers. Any ideas?

Well, it's something of a mystery. I checked Snapon.com, as you suggested, but that number doesn't come up, either as "CL-66A" or as "CJ-66A". But I noticed that their current pullers are all listed with "CJ" number series. I'll take some photos tomorrow, and see if that will provide you folks with some better ideas.

Well, I decided to sell this puller. I've bought literally thousands of tools this summer, and I've been selling off the Asian stuff at flea markets, etc. But now I need to choose some of these tools to keep for myself, and sell some of the rest.
