Snap on question

Hey,
I just purchased a SO 1/2 drive set on ebay. this was my first snap on purchase in a little while. The ratchet is an S80. Everything is great. Every socket and extension has "USA" stamped into it. BUT the ratchet has no "USA" anywhere on it. Does anyone know if these are made in the US? On the website it says it is but I just found it weird since everything else had it. I always justify the price with it being made in the states and would be disappointed to hear its from overseas. If anyone could let me know for sure Id appreciate it.
thanks!

I think that is the question, I think we thought the ratchet gears and stuff where made in japan... But I could be wrong, never found out for sure...

The body is forged here, the processing, chroming and assembly are done here and, according to my dealer, the guts are made here too.

Then it should have a "USA" stamp on it. If not, then not all (or none) of it is made in the USA.

So then why does it not have made in USA on the ratchet if it is all made here? Maybe people forget that some of us buy things just to get the USA stamped on what we bought.

All you have to do is check their website. Country of origin for the S80 is USA.

Not nearly enough proof given the pricing SO demands for "USA" made tools. it is up to them to prove that it is made here no statement or video is an acceptable proof,

BTW if you want to be that gullible Santa and the tooth fairy are real too it is on all the web sites.

I believe that something as important as a USA stamp on snap on tools would not be forgotten or eliminated without some good reason, like legal liability for not being 100% USA made.

I think the I like the american version with the other voice over guy; I guess this is the national public channel version from Canada.... you can tell by the "out" and "about" distinct Canuck accent! :)

That was an interesting video!! I even liked the cracker segment. That's a good TV show unfortunately I don't get to see it very often.
