OK, I was wondering if y'all could help me out here. I am trying to come up with a complete list of Snap On's quick release ratchets.

Here are the ones I am aware of.

1/4 drive:

TR936
TR72
THR72

3/8 drive:

F723
FR936
FR80
FHR80

1/2 drive:

SR936
SR80
SHR80A

One of the main things I'm trying to figure out is if they had a QR 1/4 ratchet before the TR936.

I listed all of the previous 1/4" , 3/8", and 1/2" Snap On QR ratchets / specs in the FR80 quick release thread.
See post # 71 in the thread linked below.

To answer your main question ...No there were not any 1/4" drive QR ratchets made before the TR936.

Just add the ones your missing from my list and a few you have listed need an A at the end of the part # (F723A, SR80A)

There are a number of current Blue Point ratchets that are QR as well.

You may have seen other older 700 series ratchets that are QR but those are conversions and didn't come from the factory that way.

See pic below of a 700 series 3/8" ratchet converted to QR.

My F723 has a 1979 date code. Don't know if this info helps, but I thought I would throw it out there. Ironically I was also "created" in 1979, and i think the ratchet is in better shape than me. Although I have a Ratchet Repair kit on order for it right now. I guess 32 years for a ratchet is pretty good!
