Looking for help have a long handle flex that has a 1969 date code It needs a rebuild but when I run the part # F10LB it comes back as a Breaker bar handle. I do have a spark plug Ratchet F712 that seems very similar but does not have a date code.

I'd bet at some point the ratchet was repaired with a handle either from or for a breaker bar, they were and maybe still are the same handle. Do you have a dealer near by?

Ya they used a Breaker bar handle. I need to try to ID the head so I can get a rebuild. its date code should have read 1967 not 1969. I found a FL12 on ebay its date could was 1976. thats a 9 year difrence. im not sure that kit will work. no only have Matco around here.

You should be able to look up the repair kit using the bent handle ratchet, the date code doesn't mean much in regards to the kit. You should also get the tool Snap On sells to compress the pawl ball and spring. That makes the repair significantly easier.

It is probably a f711a, Kit rkra38als, same for the 712
i do not think they have this kit anymore, and since the 711 has been modified, you may not be able to get snap on to replace it.
If that is the right kit, there are a couple listings available on ebay for around $25 shipped. Do a search for the part number there and they will pop right up. A bit expensive if you are trying to repair a ratchet for resale, but likely worth it if the ratchet is a keeper with sentimental value.

I've had very good luck with SO customer service so I would just call them. If you send it in they just might send you a new replacement.

Thank you Snap-on mom. I think your right on the kits being the same. I think it’s even possible that they may have both been bent handles. That’s why the used the Beaker Bar handle.
