So I bought another snap on ratchet. Just wondering where the date code is on these and what is the difference on the m
.

Sometimes there are no date codes.

The one in the foreground is the older of them. The style change was around 1970 I think.

I've got 2 1/4" ratchets that someone ah hum.. retired from the Navy .. if I understood correctly from my research the military sales marked tools couldn't be warrantied.
