I got this up 3/8 ratchet today from a guy I'm hoping to buy some other tools from. Bought this as an "ice breaker". Can anyone help me date it? The marks on it are - SNAP-ON GF7208 USA and they wrap around the handle. I gave him 10 bucks for it. There was a 3/8 Thorsen socket on it that he threw in with it .:) How did I do?

I've searched, but I was only to find a few previous sales on Ebay. The model(?) number is different then the ones listed on the snap on identification site. I believe the date code is for 1990. But is it an industrial finish model? If so what was the reason for the different finishes? Thanks.

Industrial is less expensive to produce and is ideal for situations where you can't take the chance of chrome flaking off and contaminating something.
And yes, for 10 bucks you scored .!
