If they cant rebuild it, they should replace it considering its warrenty. However, some disstributers are Jackass's and apparently act ignorant. Good luck. I have maintained a good relationship with the snappy guy coming by the shop where i work so he treats me great.

if your dealer won't fix it or replace it get ahold of snap on via the customer service the number is 1-877-762-7664.

my dealer didn't fix my ratchets so i called for parts and they didn't have the ones i wanted. so the lady on the phone sent me two new ratchets. if they would have had the parts i would have took them.

wish you luck, ive good luck with snap on when ive called. the 1 and only time i ever had to, my dealer has been good to me otherwise.

You could go to www.collectingsnapon.com and browse the catalogs. The TM70B was around in the '60's and 70's--not sure when the TM70C came out but IIRC sometime in the mid '70 's. I don't think drivers would have the kits on the truck but like it has been mentioned it is available on the website. There have been many threads on the forum about Snap-on warranty and depending on your driver or who you talk to--it only applies to original owner.

Search on the GJ for the Snap-on date code chart and look for the symbol on your ratchet between the on & off that will tell you the year your ratchet was made.

The collecting site only goes thru about, 1980. There are also some skips in the cats, as he does not have all of them thru 1980
