If you could own only a single 3/8 ratchet and it had to be a Snap On, which one would you get? Please no hijacks, name calling etc. If you think truck tools are a ripoff, over priced blah, blah, blah, I don't care. I'm considering buying one for no other reason than I want one. If Nature Boy Ric Flair can ride in limousines and Lear jets and get all the hot chicks, I can have a Snap On ratchet! So you Snappy owners, which one would you suggest?

Be careful buying your first Snap On ratchet because many more will follow. ;)

I was given an F80 for my birthday and an FL80 soon followed, as budget allows I will probably get more. With what I've handled I'd say the FL80, but the FLF80 sounds pretty nice and is probably my next ratchet buy.

If I were to start from scratch, I would probably just get the standard F80. I use my 36 (?) tooth version more than my others. If I were to buy one now (probably will in a week or two, as a matter of fact) I'll probably buy an FBF80, bent flex handle, 'cause I don't have anything like it. Or maybe an FLL80, extra long handle.

I'm not sure of the model # but it's the 3/8" drive flex head with the bent handle. Once you buy one you will be hooked. I think I have around 12 of them.

I really love my FHLF80 ratchet. Long handle, flex head, comfort handle.

On the other hand, I still use my regular F936 ratchet all the time as well.

It's a tossup between the two.

FLF80 is the best, I like the hard handles, but it also comes in soft grip if you like that feel.

I use mine daily!

Fcf72 it is my go to ratchet for 3/8. It is maybe just slightly smaller than a regular 3/8 ratchet but it goes places the others won't. I am not a fan of the FLF80 because it just won't fit when it really counts

Only one? That's a toss up between the FCF72 (versatile, gets in tight spaces) or the FLF80 (long, flex head, extra torque). I'd have both, but the nod would go to the FLF80 if only able to get one.

I would have a hard time choosing for sure. But I think I would choose my flf80 as my all around go to ratchet, it would be a bit long in some instances, but its better to me than being too short. Not to brag but I own around 30 snap on ratchets, all sizes and vintages. I have what most people would call a problem with ratchets, I like them too much and have way more than I would ever really need. But hey, it makes me happy :D

brand new hands down FL80. its heaven on getting bolts out when you need that extra leverage.

if you are going to have only one you will be happy with it and it will be used alot being 3/8" drive.

FHX80. Does it all. Long handle, plenty strong, locking flex. Give or take the soft handle; I happen to like them.

I have the FLF80 and the 936 equivalent (FX936 or FL936??). The FLF80 is definitely a fine tuned tool but the 936is my go to. t has. Much more beefy sounding action and the adjustment is made low on the handle. I have thought about swapping my 80 head onto the 936 handle.
