Hey all ive just been sorting through some tools and while cleaning my ratcheting screw driver that it doesnt feel as "tight" as it used to and the fit of everything isnt what it was:

you can see the "fit" where the ring attaches to the body to change the direction/ lock the shaft.

does anyone think that a warranty claim will sort this? if it needs to be replaced would I get an anniversary one back?

did you move that little washer that is on the shaft?
I have guys that remove those and use the new shanks out of the soft grip rat screwdrivers in them after that.
you would get a black/orange/or maybe a pink one. that one would not get returned. they do not make it anymore.
put it back together again. something is not right. but if it will not go back it can be warrantied to a new one.

just take it in and warranty it out.
RKRSSDMR4AC repair kit number and the kit has a lifetime warranty. some guys will come to the truck after they purchase it and trade it for another repair kit for one of their other ratchet.

Move to michigan we need one good rep in the state, I had to repo stuff back from my old snap on guy, he had 4 sockets for 6 weeks to warranty them

See if Todd Cole in Cadillac is still in business. It has been years, but I used to deal with him even after I left Kalkaska, and moved back to Texas.

my old snappy guy took a socket to warranty, and then sold the one he had shipped in to a different guy, so I wated 2 weeks for a 1.5 inch 3/4 drive socket (used to adjust slide out on motorhomes)

sorry that happened to you. I have actually done that. I didnt realize it until it was too late. I told the guy what I had done and he said ti was cool and I ordered him a new one. things get crazy in the truck and when people are in a hurry ( like me most of the time ) things can get messed up............

I don't have a dealer. the Matco guy I deal with has a stack of card on his truck, if he need to order something for warranty, he'd write my name and phone# down and call me when it's in. then I meet him up, he give me the new tool, I hand over the old. he never ever took any thing ahead or money.
