Snap On Ratchet Supposed to be Bent?

I inherited this little gem from my father. He was notorious for modifying his tools to suit his needs.

Its a 3/8 drive Snap On Flex Head Ratchet Model F 712. The handle is quite bent. Anyone know if it is supposed to be like this. There is no discoloration so he did not heat it with a torch to bend it. I can not find any reference to it on the internet.

Yeah-it came from the factory that way.That bend makes it my favorite tune-up ratchet-don't know why,just prefer this ratchet over all of the others for changing plugs on a V-8.Works better for me on any water pump and accessory work also.I've got it's twin in SK that I like almost as much.

I also forgot to mention that it was made in Canada.

Keeps the skin on your knuckles a little bit better while changing sparkplugs. At least, that's what they advertise them for, usually. I just grab mine when I need a bent handle...
