Hey guys,

I have a Williams Ratcheting screwdriver (basically the same as the SO hard handle fixed shank ratcheting screwdriver) that I would like to replace the shank on to turn it into a ratcheting driver (SO TMR4).

This thread here (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176442) details out how to dissemble one (and turn it into a replaceable shank model if you so choose). I'm fine with leaving mine "fixed" but I'm not sure which shank I should buy?

If I look at the parts list for the TMR4, it lists the shank as SSDMR4A101RB "Bit Holder Shank" for $19.30. If I go to their ratcheting System/Interchangeable Shanks section, it lists part # SGDMRC4-TM4 (Shank, 1/4" Square Drive, 5") for $18.25.

I'm guessing either one would probably work but the 101RB might be the better choice if I plan to leave it as a fixed shank driver?

If you want to use it as a 1/4 drive tool only, SSDMR4A101RB would work fine. Only difference is that it does not have a detent ball like the other.
