It's a craigslist deal and I don't live in Denver. If I lived there I would have already bought them. I get down there a couple of times a month but I don't want to paypal him and never see the ratchets...lol

Hell I would buy it even if I haven't seen it. As long as there are no engravings, it's a heck of a deal. Worse comes worse, you need to rebuild both ratchets. They're only $10 each for the kit..

Maybe if you have access to a truck. I don't have one so I gotta buy it from SO directly. Either way, it'll cost little to nothing. :)

craigslist snap on ratchets model #flf80 and sl832 barely used. He's asking $100 bucks...worth it?3n63m63la5Y45Z65W5b6p81d93566d7e61b44.jpg

Not to me, but I already have the version of the f80 with a flex head and softgrip.

For me it would have to be convenient to buy, and I would have to both want one and not have anything close, and I would still be offering $80 cash and not caring a lot if it was accepted or not.

They are good ratchets, but not the best of its type.

I think everyone should at least try a SO ratchet. I wouldn't worry about the warranty. I've never had one bust. And if I did, I'd just call SO direct (if I didn't have a driver -- which I do -- but he might be retiring after 33 or so years!)

I guess low-balling isn't an insult if you are the buyer?

What are the difference between one ratchet with screws in the head and those who don't??

They went through some design BS with the screws coming from the top or the bottom. My FHX80 has them coming up from the bottom into the top. Not sure if it really matters.

You do realize you have buyer protection through Paypal right? As long as you send the payment for "goods" and not a "gift" you are covered.
