Snap On repair part

Chances are small, but you guys are my last resort. I have an old Snap On FV71 ratchet. It's 3/8" drive, & has been my go to ratchet for over 50 years. Never really thought about how much I relied on it till it started slipping recently.... Rebuilding them isn't difficult if you can get the parts, & there's my problem. The rebuild kit for this ratchet is RKRA380. They show as "discontinued", & I haven't been able to find any online. I even called Snap On, but didn't get through to anyone.

I'm hoping someone on the forum has a stash of old parts & is willing to part with one. I'm willing to pay...to a point. If anyone has one please post or PM me. Thanks!

I do not know if it will help, but look for other Snap-on ratchets that are close and get that kit. I rebuilt my 7115 and got the kit from Snap-On. The bushing in the kit did not work but everything else did.

There is a Facebook page for snap on dealers only. Might find a dealer near you to see if he can a repair kit.

I even called Snap On, but didn't get through to anyone.

Send them an e-mail. I have had the best luck that way. I just emailed them a day or two ago about a center punch and they replied within a day.

you can convert it to quick release also.
