snap on road chest

I have had a lot of experience with the older snap on road chests, but none with the newer version. the newer version has all full width drawers adn a different cover/lid.

I was wondering if any of you guy have one, know of one, any "real life" pics for size reference?

To be honest, as many pics as you can get would be great! I work with a lot of older heavy duty techs that have the older ones, but no one has a newer one. I like the IDEA of full width drawers. But I have never actually layed hands on one for a first person perspective.

The new box has basically the same size drawers as a classic or krl722. If anybody has one of those boxes, that will give you a close idea to the storage size. New boxes have ball bearing slides. The box has had some redesigns already. The earlier ones had a flip up lid and a front panel that then slid up out of the way. Newer boxes have a normal drop front. I have gone back and forth about buying one, measurement wise, it is a perfect match for my classic 60, but damn they are expensive.

So which is the "newer" style? the drop front box of the one like pictured that has the disappearing front?


Thanks for the pics pdizzle. That is the first one I have actually seen in a work environment. It really does help with perspective. I just wish there was someone near me that had one with tools in it. I just hate to drop that much cash on one not KNOWING.

The one i have is the old style. Ive only used it once on a service call just because it is so big
