Hey yall taking the plunge on a new box ive Read all the posts and oogled at everybodys carts im looking at the krsc46 or the krsc 246 im really leaning on the 246 because of its slightly smaller footprint and deeper drawers ive got my Snapon Guy doing up quotes on both for weds im currently working out of a 36" roadbox and assortment of smaller boxes im wanting to consolidate everything into one of thèse and keep all my specialty Tools on my road box thanks

Have a few questions Can the krsc246 Be upgraded with a side cabinet at a future date? Havent got a définitive answer

Whats a fair Price to Be paying for thèse i Can get pricing on the 246 but nothing Is coming up on the Snapon website for the 46 i am in canada as well Just would l'île a Ball Park figure on what people are paying and what the List Is on the 46

Also Is their any other boxes in the same catagory and Price range i should Be looking at? I see alot of love for the Big cornwell box but no dealers local and matcos look Nice Our dealer has been yo the shop once in past three months though

I'm pretty sure there is an adapter plate to mount a side box to the carts. Another option is a classic 60 roll cab that the cart is based off of.

I had a 46 and currently have a 246. The wider drawers are nice, with that though the drawer set up on the 46 is better suited for a cart IMO. I got a huge discount on the 246 is the only reason I have it. The 46 was traded in on a tool box long before. Pricing in Canada I have no clue but your dealer should be able to get you in below list. And yes, there is a side plate adaptor to add a side box. If the drawer set up suits you on the 246 it may be worth the extra depth. Also the 246 has 4 turning casters.

Thanks i like the drawer layout better on the 246 Seems l'île alot more usable room vs having 5 4 inch drawers and the Big 8" So i Can add on a side cart at some point in the future Be the kra2406 correct? Its odd but pricing on the 246 Is 500$ cheaper at List then the classic 60 i feel Ill get alot more use out of the cart style vs the straight up roller cab as well

You can also swap out one of the 4" drawers on the KRSC46 for two 2" drawers to gain more storage efficiency. I just did that mod on my 46 and it's great for wrench, screwdriver and other thin tool storage...way better than it was in the stock configuration.

KRSC246 actually has almost the same storage capacity as the KRSC46. Make sure you really prefer the drawer size of the 246 because that's basically all you're paying a lot more for.

Don't expect much of a discount. Cart promos are few and far between and aren't nearly as deep as the actual boxes.

In the US it use to be 1600 now its at 1750. Snap-On had their little price hike not too long ago so in the US its

KRSC46 $1765 (Previously ~$1600)
KRSC43 $1955 (Previously ~$1800)
KRSC246 $2510 (Previously ~$2300)

Considering the weakened CAD it looks like your catalog has yet to see a similar hike. If you can get away with a 200-300 discount on those prices in Canada I think you did well. Just my 2 cents.

I have the 246 (I believe it is). There is an adapter available to hang a side cabinet with. I use mine with a MasterForce side cabinet from Menards.

Those things are ridiculously overpriced for what they are. Have you considered finding a used one for a lot cheaper on craigslist?
