What is the black area on the top box? Is there storage behind that ?I have the same vintage bottom box in 26" wide. I can't find a model # on mine either. If that roller wasn't repainted, it's in VG condition !

In the 4th pic he posted, you can see what is behind that black front panel.

The roller has been repainted. It had some minor surface rust around the bottom and the PO tried touching it up with some cranberry red spray paint.
I finally got sick of looking at it and stripped the whole thing down and repainted it. I used acrylic enamel with a hardener, I've got my own snap-on red formula that's pretty close.
I also found the original keys hidden inside of the handle when I took the box apart, unfortunately for me I already had new keys made.

Was the roll cab stripped to bare metal?

Have you tried the local craig's list? It would be easier to find people closer to you since you can't really ship something this large at a reasonable price.

Are you at all close to Sussex, NJ?

Edit: ****, NM...I see it is about 3 hours from Sussex to Newark where you are.

Yes I have the box for sale on craigslist also. Smarter bunch here. I've had three people come to look at it and all figured since it was Snap On that it would have roller bearing drawer slides.Or should I say "bearing slide drawers"?

I think the buyer may be a G.J. member but he found the ad for the box on C.L. Young guy, late teens / early twenties it's his first "real" box.
Funny story. I had it listed on CL for $500. he offered me $450. I told him $400
It's good to see todays younger generation interested and involved in mechanics.
