Is there any way to correct excessive play in the holes that the small gear mounts in ? The ones in the faceplate, ( and in the ratchet housing), are a little too loose . Has been rebuilt , Thanks, Joseph 36

Are you sure you're not missing the bushing? When those ratchets are assembled, the dust cover is the first thing that goes in, after that is the bushing. The gear sits on the bushing. Nothing goes on the cover plate because it's not a sealed ratchet. Here's what you should have in that ratchet:

1. Dust Cover
2. Bushing
3. Gear
4. Steel Ball
5. Spring
6. Pawl
7. Cover Plate
8. Two Screws
9. Reverse Lever

Thanks for responding guys , and for your time and effort. I do have all those parts in there, but the bushing looks a little worn, I will order a new one. I guess its from many years of use that the holes the pawl sits in are worn. I just thought maybe Snap on made a bushing, or an oversized pawl. Joseph36

Ahh, if it was otherwise; I would have been disappointed! :) I'm kinda lazy; I just give the links and let the exploded view speak for itself! LOL! :)
