Any one familiar with the older souls eesc310? I'm considering buying and curious if anyone has any knowledge of them like does it still have bidirectional controls because I would prefer to get one that does over the Autel MD 802 or 808 pro

I would recommend something else. That scanner has not been updated for a while and no updates are available any longer. Even very cheap it would most likely be money wasted.

Thanks I found a modis with the lab scope but they quit doing updates for that too it seems like the only ones that are worth getting that are snap on you gotta spend 3-5 grand on looks like I'll have to get the Autel MD 802 All systems until I can afford the maxisys 908P

I looked at a few of their scanners. What updates you can get are pretty pricey. I was quoted $700-1200 for updates depending on how far it was behind. I ended up getting the 802.

How is the 802 does it work pretty well with domestic vehicles and does it give you code tips like reported fixes?

No tips. If you want those it's either Snap-on or Launch. Look for a used Solus Ultra unless you need a scope. But the 802 will get you by you have a couple thousand saved up.

This is direct from a China authorized distributor and will take 2 weeks or more to be delivered. I would inquire about warranty service, if needed. You need to be sure about your purchase, because any send back will negate any savings.

I have the DIY Diaglink model and it works fine, but seems a bit slow to me (nothing to compare it with). And I warned this in other threads - all these low cost scanners lag 2 or more years behind in software updates for the enhanced codes. Check Autel's site.

Also contact the 2 main Autel sellers on Amazon to see if they will be having "lightning deals" on the 802. I paid $87 delivered for my Diaglink DIY version (21% off).

That's the one I got. Keep an eye out and you can get a deal. Mine to the door was $81 from Amazon last month.

Hi all. I have Autel Maxi Diag MD802 which I purchased many years ago. The scanner works great being able to see live data and clear codes until the update. The issue I'm having with scanner after doing an update last year I'm no longer able to view live data for engine and auto transmission. I have contacted the support and they have advised that there could be something wrong with the unit or try to go back to the original firmware version. when I updated the unit I forgot to backup the existing version. I have spoken to autel but they have checked and advised that they no longer have the older version and to try to find someone with older version then mine and get a copy of the software. Is there anyone that has this model with older software?
