I had been watching this box for a couple months on marketplace, the price kept coming down. It came home with me yesterday for $2200. Looks like it was set up for aviation judging from the tools. The box is some version of a KRL756 I think, that had inventory control but has been removed. Its 98% snapon, mostly unused. A few blue point pieces in there, a couple random brands and some specialty aircraft stuff for lacing wire, turnbuckles etc.

I think I did ok lol

Wow. It looks well worth the money. Congrats on that nice set.(y) Oh yeah,YOU ****.
I ran the part numbers on the top drawer. Nearly $6k replacement value by the piece. Of course if a set existed it would be a bit cheaper. There is no real rhyme or reason to how its set up that I can discern. The extensions for example, its got regular and wobble, but there is a rogue wobble plus in there. 3/8" was skipped in the 1/4" drive, couple other things that are weird.
I plan on selling off the avation specific stuff as I do not work on planes. Some things will be duplicates or triplicates of what I have so that may be purged as well. The box as nice and I am sure expensive as the shadow foam is does not work for me, that will go.

I remember seeing that on marketplace recently but passed over it for some reason. Did you end up paying significantly less than the listed price? I’m near Albany, if that”s close to where you are?

I finally got to the second model sticker as the original on the back was mysteriously missing. It's a l51756 which I am sure no one has heard of. I think it's based on the KRL756 more or less but specialized for the inventory control hardware.

Sir,

As an aviation box, I would like to inform you that I will be initiating an immediate FOD sweep for item A2A, missing from your box.

Unless previously noted on the MIL, I will be forced to impound the aircraft in the immediate vicinity and any airframes you have performed maintenance on this shift.

On another note, you ****!

Lol its in there, Its actually in the wrong spot, the adapter just north of the open spot is the A2A. the missing adapter in question is over with the 1/2 sockets. I should have presented it better! I did get screwed in this whole deal. The tape measure in the bottom drawer is missing. It was in the marketplace ad, but he must have absconded with it and I didnt pick up that is was missing until I got home.

Oh good. As the impoundment authority, your airframes are officially released.

Take it back then. This whole you **** deal hinged on the single tape measure. Not worth it anymore! 🤣🤣

If you want to get rid of anything to someone close by let me know. There’s not a lot that I NEED from there but there’s definitely a few things I could use lol.

Great scpre!

Interesting that all the sockets are 12 pt.
This was for aviation, they like 12 point fasteners. It worked out for me, while I have 12 point sockets, they are not Snappy. The the only time I use them really is for working on Cummins engines and the rogue driveshaft.

I buy and sell used tools and a quick run through of the drawers and I would have gladly paid $2200 for the tools without the box. Definitely airplane guy with all 12 point and inventory control.

Well done!!

You mentioned running the numbers piece by piece and thought you could save money buying sets. Ain't much difference with Snap on, couple of %

Do you have the bottom drawer for the box, it appears to be missing in your pic

To the guys who say no deals in your area, unless you live in the sticks, there are deals there, you have to look for them and be patient like the OP. Is it worth the time it takes, only you can answer for yourself.

And a good object lesson here in buying and selling, not many people have big money ready to buy tools right now so when you advertise a large collection, you will never get what the tools are worth individually or as sets. So if you are selling and need to maximize the money, you need to sell set by set. If you don't want to do all that work, then you need to come down like the seller here did.

Yes I have the bottom drawer. I had it out to get access to the serial number tag in the bottom and to get a look at the modules in there as well.
Deals are far and few between in this area. I thought for sure someone would have jumped on that box at 3500, I am sure Christmas didnt help.
I have been looking for a KRL1022 or better for the last year plus. I'll see reasonable boxes pop up every now and then but just have not found the right box in the right color yet.

The plot thickens with this box. Another box complete with tools, a twin to the one I purchased, popped up 30 miles from where I bought mine from a different seller. He is priced at $10500 lol. I messaged him just to see if he knew what the history was but he just claimed he bought it from a friend who had bought multiple.
