Does Snap On sell replacemnt blades for the stubby philips drivers (SHDP22IR)?

Could someone share a part number please? I couldn't find it on their site and my Google-fu has failed me.

This is not a warranty issue. I have been inspired to make a custom handled driver. Sort of stupid but I want a stubby blade on a full sized handle. I have the old black handle craftsman pro driver set and that set has stubby driver with a full sized handle. Don’t know why but I usually reach for that one first.

I'll keep you posted. The ssdp31rb came up as $14.60 so I'm betting it will be in that range. If the blade isn't available I will buy a stubby and pull the blade out. Expensive, but a fun little project I think.

Often times, they price themselves out of buying a blade seperately.

You could get an SHDP22IRx in whatever color you want for $12.95, remove the blade, and save the handle for something else.

I've done this a number of times, only with the intent to use the handle. That said, I have a number of stubby blades around here. Send me a PM if you're interested in working out a deal.

Is that the P1 or P2?

Did they assembly ok for you?

It's the P2. It went together really easy. I need to buy another handle for the P1. Thanks for cutting the the P1 down, I think it will go in fine.

I like the stubby shaft. I think I am going to make a ratcheting version.

I like the idea of a stubby phillips blade on a full-size handle. In researching the phillips blades and screwdrivers on the Snap-on site I came across this:

I realize some folks on GJ have had success removing blades from stubbies. Wonder why SO says the stubby blades are not replaceable? What is the SSDP31IRRB blade - stubby, full-size, #1 or #2 phillips?

For what it's worth, Menards sells a full-size handle, 1 1/2" blade, P1 phillips. The P/N is M237-7954. Looks like a Pratt Read. It's not on the Menards web site but is available in stores.
