Snap-On screwdriver....in amber?

Came across a small screwdriver today. Sure has that Snappy profile but not a hint of any logo or part number. And it's an amber-colored plastic. Did Snappy make drivers in amber?

I'm thinking I might mod it (could use another schrader valve core remover) and polish it up.

You sure you can't see anything? Even on my Snap on pry bar where the marking wore off I can tell that the logo is indented it.

You are going to have to take my word for the following screwdriver it is indeed a snap-on, although not in amber (I am color blind), maybe some kind of yellow I think?

Anyhow it is from the very early 1960's and snap-on did indeed stamp any information into their handles. My guess is it is not what you think it is, but again I could be wrong, If you like it then use it.

I have an amber colored Snap On SSD 145 cabinet screwdriver. Total length about 9". Similar shaped head to yours. I'll try to post a pic later.

They did make an amber colored screwdriver the blue-point pyralin driver but that was way back from 33 to 37 or 38 and I don't think that is what you have ???

So yes indeed snap on made amber colored screwdrivers but...(always a but) we are talking way back in the 1930's.

Polished up the handle and swapped out a #0 phillips shank I had laying around. Now she can go to work!

Damn--I was expecting a story about a 66-million-year-old screwdriver found in a block of amber, from which scientists extracted ancient DNA to clone the driver (because they could), resulting in the end of western civilization as we know it, a mediocre movie franchise and some great one-liners!

Tools... will find... a way.

I know they had a 50th anniversary snap-on screwdriver that looked very similar to that. I saw in pristine condition selling for $7 I 6, obviously no one has bought it... I see a versions much better than yours selling for about $20.

But if you just Google snap-on 15-year anniversary screwdriver snap-on, you'll probably find it.

I as well have a set of these without a hint of makers name or model. Have always wondered about them. I have a orange Snap-on stubby Phillips but not very close to the amber color.

Probably not the same then because the only reason I know the other one was the snap-on 50th edition because it said that on it probably different

I don't remember where I put my unmarked set of amber drivers, but the color is identical to the OPs. IIRC I have a half dozen regular sized pieces.
