Snap On Screwdriver Set Question

Is there a market out there for the original black hard handled SSD screwdrivers? I have a full set that has good handles, except a couple. If I get the 2 replaced, they won't match. (ok, so I'm **** )
Anywho...I may just break down and buy a set of the SO racing hard handled ones and see about re-homing the black set.
Any advice from the group?

No one wants those anymore. The Harbor Freight screwdrivers are well thought of though, as is all of their stuff.

1. He is new,It's his first post
2. He didn't realize that this site has a search button
3. Didn't use previously mentioned search and see the other 45 threads about hard handled Snap On screwdrivers
4. He has never heard of Flea-Bay, or the exorbitant prices that hard handled Snap On screwdrivers fetch on that site.

I say the hell with "search buttons" and reading through a ton of old forums and generic info, even if their is relative data in a forum regarding your question. Why? Obviously the OP values the personal experience and so called "expertise" of the members here even if his question is basic and redundant. Why turn away new members who would otherwise never sign up when they can use the search button just as easily lurking.This site benefits from all the input put it from all its members for many years to come regardless of the topic and will only make this site grow in popularity. New members with new ideas and opinions post reply's everyday on new posts created even if they are the same topic as used in the past. This has become a common group dynamic among many sites where supposedly more senior members make them selves feel distinguished and more intelligent at the price of putting down new members. Its usually the more insecure who do this. In my opinion just answer the OP's question or click another topic.

yes, there's quite a big market on Ebay for the older hard handled stuff. I just bought a new set of the racing logo hard handles and they're a nice set. funny thing is, the new sets are going on ebay for sometimes 50% above truck price!!!

I say to hell with the search comments also. Just about every topic has been rehashed numerous times. If everyone searched for the old ****, instead of posting something new, what would there be?

It's hard to post on most forums these days without being challenged, or ridiculed. It's really a shame, because i've learned lots of things in the past on forums. Just seems like its getting tougher anymore.

When I run a search, I dont usually find a direct answer to the problem, it may help or point me in the right direction, but nine times out of ten I end up posting to find out what I want to know (even if it is just to make sure I'm doing it right).

Somtimes you are first person to have that particular problem.

If you're looking to sell them, you can always post them here in the classifieds. In my experience Snap On hard handles usually sell really, really quickly sometimes in less than an hour if they are priced right. Avoid the Ebay fees.

if you are looking for that classic 4 sided hard snap on handle set, they don't make them anymore under the snap on name. however, you can buy the williams set (ideally owned by snap on) for 1/4 the cost of the original snap on set.

amazon.com has them.

type in williams screwdriver set. the prices are great and comes with free shipping

Another option would be to get ahold of a snap on rep and see if they will put new handle on the old ones. I have had that done a couple of times, I to don't like a bunch of mixed handles.
