A very nice vintage screwdriver. I'm interested in it's worth. I can't find another one like it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It appears that someone cobbled that up. The SDD520 is a square shank screwdriver with a huge blade. The screwdriver is supposed to be about two foot long. It looks kinda like someone may have removed the blade, cut it short and pressed the shortened blade back in to make a stubby.

The Cat version of the SDD412, the 18-3/8" version, is available from Caterpillar.

There used to be a SO screwdriver that had a very wide slotted tip and a typical length shaft; I think it was something boat related but was discontinued? Dzus fastener driver have rounded tips, so yes, similar but not the same. Tekton's new lineup has some slotted drivers with really wide tips and aren't stupid long.

But how do we know that the shaft is really SnapOn and not just the handle? Craftsman used to make something similar (as well as others), so since it was rehandled to begin with, can we even trust the metallurgy?

I was going to say marine plug screwdriver but the business end of OP's looks much bigger than that. Reminds me I still want to order a set haha.

I don't think it was either of those; it had a really wide tip, like half an inch. It was in a thread here and someone posted that it had been discontinued.

What I did was to buy a Titan dzus driver and put the end on the belt sander to flatten it.
