Snap On Side Box Value

I have been looking for a side box to add to my main box. I have seen some on Craigslist, however, I have no idea of what the values are. One that I am looking at presently is an 8 drawer side box that was made in 1985. He is asking $350, and I was thinking of making an offer. What would you say is fair? The box is in good condition, with the normal scratches, etc. It is far from perfect. thanks

Depends on which box it is. Is it a krl series meant for a 550 or a 560 or a Kra meant for a Kra380. I have a kra one I paid $150 for.

Which one is it? Does it have a swinging door that covers the drawers? KR288 I think it was. Honestly the HF side cabinet is the best bang for the buck going at ~$200 and it gets you into ball bearing slides. IMHO drawers behind doors that can't be fully opened are a royal PITA.

Yeah I have that same one with the three shallow drawers and two shelves and I kind of hate it for that reason. I have a tiny garage and if put something near the box I can't open the side box. And unfortunately the door wont flip all the way back to the side of the box.

with out seeing the box, it's hard to say.

i've bought used SO side boxes for as little as $100,
as well as new ones for $1000+.
