Hi folks,

Ive been looking at this slide hammer from Snap On:

It's on promo currently.

I am in the UK so we use Metric.

The slide hammer uses Imperial attachments, mainly the thread on it is 5/8 which isn't much use for me with metric.

Does anyone know of 5/8 to metric adapters ? I've asked snap on and they don't make them apparently.

Thanks!

Aren't most slide hammer attachments 5/8?....are they different in Europe?

I'm in the US, but 5/8-18 and 1/2-20 is just standard. I'm guessing you have a 1/4 drive ratchet and not a 6mm drive

Hi all,

Apologies, i have learned the error of my ways, yes almost all slide hammer parts are 5/8

I bought the above Snap On unit (it's great btw) and several injector adapters etc.

Does anyone know of a hub puller attachment like the one below that's made in US/Europe etc not China ? I've not found anything yet with a 5/8 thread. It's for pulling Audi front wheel bearings out of the alloy hub as they always seize in.

I have two of those, not Blue Point branded but identical generic ones. (I think they're branded Franklin.)

They'll work just fine. I've beat on mine pulling seized hubs and pinion drive flanges and they take it.

All of my hub pullers are too small to thread onto my slide hammer. I think SO is the only one that does.
