The official corporate way to write it is Snap-on with a capital S and a lower case o with a dash in between.

You guys writing it with a capital O are wasting your energy by using the shift-key needlessly.

Now if you can get people to stop pronouncing "across" as "acrosst"

This too. No worries about spelling there, it's rendered in universal language.

I don't pay much attention to people's spelling. As long as I can understand what's being written, then the writer was successful in conveying his thoughts. Ultimately, that's the whole purpose behind language, written or spoken. Don't find too many scholars in the garage.
