I see in this month's Snap-On there is a Snap-On SO86BLK Gasket Knife. Has anybody used one? I see that they are pricey and was just wondering if they are good at removing gaskets.

Regular putty knife works just fine. Same with generic brand scrapers. If you're an average worker meaning you don't scrape gaskets too offen, then no need to pay for an over priced tool. Nothing against snap-on, but you could save your money and use it else where.

After looking up that Snap-On "gasket" knife, I suspect some employee at Snap-On must have wanted a Snap-On branded, USA made Kershaw knife, and convinced someong to order a batch, and then they labeled the knives "gasket knives". At least I think it's probably a Kershaw.

Don't look like anything special, I've always used either a putty knife, a standard gasket scraper or even an old pocket knife.

Is that a joke ? Just get a gasket scraper

If you just want a tanto point pocket knife don't waste your money on that thing, you can get a us made Kershaw for about $40
