Snap-On socket extension

I own this knurled extensions set but the 3" is missing. Got a replacement by the part number on ebay but for my surprise isnt exactly the same. This one is larger in diameter and dont have de pinhole in the oposite face of the detent ball.

I want the exact replacement, theres a way to identify by the year or something?

They should have a date code on them. Search "snap on date code" in the google for a chart.

Perhaps a stupid question, where are all the ball detents?

The set is 1993 and the other one is 2014.

My doubt is how do I know for what period of years is the same style?

Search e-bay for a used 1993 extension. Ask potential sells to take a picture of the date code.
