Could someone tell me what this 1/2 inch drive 3/4 Snap On # S 241 socket is used for? I had no luck on the internet. I even tried the patent number (3273430) and came up empty. It looks like a oxygen sensor remover. Etched on the side is MIT65bo80040. Thanks.

There's plenty of stuff online regarding that patent number, including some useful research by @woody 73 posted on this forum.

S241 is just a standard deep chrome 3/4” socket.
Someone has welded the base of it to the upper portion to make a custom socket.
What size is the working end?

Taking another look it seems to be the case. The inner diameter is approx 21mm and the outer diameter is approx 35mm.
